Description
Do you need a ONE and DONE – EASY – print and go substitute folder that you will only have to make ONCE?!!!
Do you dread having to write out routines and procedures every time you have a substitute teacher in your classroom? What if I told you – you didn’t have to do that anymore because I have created THE BEST substitute teacher folder so you only have to do it ONCE at the beginning of the school year?!!!
Every year I am required to have a substitute binder on my desk in the event of me not reporting to work for the day. This substitute binder can be daunting, BIG and bulky – it can be too much for a substitute to go through when they only have a few minutes to learn EVERYTHING you need to tell them. So I have created my substitute teacher lap book which is essentially a substitute folder printable to help compact all the information a substitute needs in one easy to access and read resource!
MANY substitute teachers have THANKED me for creating this simple, condensed version of a substitute binder! They like how “at-a-glance” easy it is and everything is in one compact version. This is one of my favourite teacher organization hacks and I am so excited to have made it editable for you!
In this lap book I have included the following EDITABLE fields:
- Teacher information
- School Information
- Class Lists
- Procedures for the following:
- washroom
- fire drill
- lockdown
- entering class
- inside recess routines
- fast finisher expectations
- lunch rules
- end of day procedures
- sharpening pencil protocol
- finished work protocol
- Attendance procedures
- Calendar routine
- Literacy Center routines
- Math Center routines
- Prep expectations
- Dismissal guidelines
- behaviour concerns
- medical concerns
- custody issues
- academic needs
- helpful students
- helpful teachers
- photocopy code
- passwords
- duty procedures
ALSO, I have included a spot for a BLANK daybook page. Simply insert a LAMINATED daybook page and all you have to do is write on and wipe off the day’s tasks!!!
THERE’S MORE! I have included a way to make this substitute folder work for multiple days’ absences. Simply insert a clip (instructions are provided) and you can add the pages you need for the days you will be away!
Want even more??
I have included extra “generic” sheets that can be laminated and clipped in for specific purposes:
- A prep sheet so you can list jobs you would like the supply to accomplish during your prep time
- A trip form so they can record forms/money and volunteers
- A communication log so they can record the days’ events
- A website sheet so you can record websites and passwords the students may need
- A school map page so you can help a substitute locate important rooms like the staffroom, washroom and computer lab with ease.
- A supply welcome letter so you can type the substitute a specific letter for the day you are away
This resource is one of my MOST USED items in my classroom. I have made them for many of my colleagues and just now have made it EDITABLE so you can add your own information and enjoy it too. (Need a behaviour chart template – add it in with the clip, need relief teaching ideas? worksheets for fast finishers? – add them in with the clip!!)
If you love organization, simplicity and effective resources this one is for you!
I hope you love this purchase and all the time it will save you! Happy Organizing!
