Diphthong Activity Mats

Description

Are you needing a set of activities that are no-prep, print and go ready that help you reinforce diphthong skills and spelling? These diphthong activity mats are perfect to add to your literacy center rotations and will reinforce skills learned in phonics.

The following “diphthongs” have activities made for them:

• ew-oo
• oi-oy
• au-aw
• ow-ou

Each vowel team has 4 mats (3 that are differentiated in skill and then a spin and spell card).

These diphthong activities can be printed in colour on cardstock and laminated for use in literacy centres. These diphthong activity mats can be used with a dry erase marker to write on and wipe off OR can be used with magnetic letters or letter manipulatives.

I love using these phonics worksheets in my literacy centers! I have included a couple of variations of each diphthong activity so that you can challenge some students with the harder mats and engage the struggling learners to help build confidence and gain success!
