Are you looking for a fun activity for summer that keeps students engaged, learning and on-task?! These beginner (PICTURE) 4×4 Summer Sudoku puzzles are perfect to activate a student’s logic and reasoning skills!
**These puzzles are great to make at home and use with your children during the summer months to keep their brains active and help retain logic and reasoning skills over the summer break!!**
These versatile puzzles can be used in a variety of ways:
- Whole group solving – working together
- Math talks – logic and reasoning – why did you move that or put that there?
- Project them on the whiteboard for students to solve at indoor recess or when they finish work early
- Make a bulletin board with velcro pieces for students to use as an activity
- Laminate and velcro – use in your math center rotations
- Fast-finisher worksheet

Included in this resource are:
- 25 sudoku puzzles – coded with summer pictures
- Picture page to laminate and make pieces to use with the puzzles
- Each of the 25 puzzles has 3 different pages – A full-page color version, a black and white worksheet version, and an answer key (75 pages total)
- Answer keys are given in the full-page size
- Directions how to play are provided (but I STRONGLY suggest you SHOW your students how to play and do a few puzzles with them so they can understand the vocabulary of a row, column, and 2×2 square)
