I LOVE Roald Dahl books. The Twits by Roald Dahl is a nice quick read that the students always enjoy so I have created the Twits novel study to go with this book.
The Twits novel study has quizzes, chapter reviews, media literacy activities, a crossword and the Twits reading comprehension questions. There are a wide variety of the Twits activities included (ie: you can design Mr. Twits beard!) as well as the Twits worksheets!
- I have used this independently – simply photocopy the unit and give them the book for my stronger students.
- I have used this in small groups having a few students that can be independent but may need some help from peers to work on it during reading time.
- I have also used this as a large class novel study as many of the activities can be differentiated and are open-ended to allow for all levels of learners.
One thing is for sure, the students love Roald Dahl as much as I do!
